Alyssa’s Place: Peer Recovery & Resource Center
The A.E.D. Foundation in conjunction with GAAMHA Inc., receive financial support from BSAS/DPH to fund operations of Alyssa’s Place: Peer Recovery and Resource Center; which provides support to individuals in recovery, seeking help for substance use, loved ones affected by addiction, and concerned members of the community.
Alyssa’s Place is governed solely by peer members. The peer participatory model of recovery has been proven effective and fills a void that currently exists between sustaining recovery and after clinical treatment. Alyssa’s Place offers a variety of groups for recovery support, personal enrichment, and community education; as well as sober activities and events. If you have a support group, workshop, or training that is in need of a place to meet, please contact us.
The funding has allowed us to hire paid staff, but we also have a team of volunteers. This group is composed of individuals who are in recovery or ally’s of those suffering from addiction.
All our services are provided free of charge and all information is kept confidential. No appointments are necessary. There is hope, stop in, and see us today!
