Employment Services

Group Supported Employment- Groups of individuals, assisted by GAAMHA’s job trainers work in the community doing scullery, janitorial, or production work. GAAMHA currently has active enclaves at Franklin Pierce University and at Coleman Assembly & Packaging.

In addition, there is an in-house cleaning crew to maintain a clean and safe environment for the individuals attending our programs. GAAMHA provides transportation services, which enables each individual to participate in the group supported employment site.

Individual Supported Employment- Individuals who would like to work in the community are connected with GAAMHA’s Employment Specialist and job coaching staff. The individual and our Employment Specialist work together to determine the type of work that interests them, to develop a resume while building on their current abilities, and conduct job search activities that meet their needs. Upon locating a position of interest, the Employment Specialist will assist the individual to complete the application process and prepare for an interview. If hired, GAAMHA’s Employment Specialist will assist with new hire paperwork and maintain communication with the individual and employer to ensure a successful placement. Our Employment Specialist and/or Job Coach will then help the individual become familiar with their tasks through on-site training.
